Practice Work: PrezPups

An assignment for Photoshop at JHS.

To begin with, I used the quick selection tool to roughly outline the cat. Then, I went in with a smaller brush and removed unnecessary areas while adding some in. When I had it fairly well selected, I refined his edges and gave him his proper outline. The dogs were slightly more annoying due to the incessant grass leaking into the image I wanted to extract.
It took me some time with the quick selection tool to pick out the major bugs such as large areas of background and swaths of grass. After I inserted the dogs into the Obama picture, I used the lasso tool to remove the few impurities from the transfer. Bam. Beautiful picture.
